Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) Files App – Folder Templates
For more detailed organization and management of project and program documents, you can create custom logs.
Each workspace has its own folder templates, which can be accessed in the workspace’s Files app - Folder Templates, keeping in mind the hierarchy. From here, you can set up folder templates that add folders and files, building the hierarchy you require.
First, we add the folder.
Then, we add a file to the template.
The folder template with the file is now ready to use.
Templates of folders and/or files can be added in the project files list. The files can be checked out to be edited. In just one example among numerous possibilities, you may have a form that needs project specific details added on a predefined timeline. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to check out the file - click yes.
When the file is checked out, a checked-out symbol is shown beside the file(s) that have been checked out.
Once the edits are complete, the file(s) can be checked back in, and the new version will be available in the Files app.
Check in the new version of the file(s) using the check in functionality in the Files app.
Check the edited file in.
Add comments as required.
Under the version tab, the new version added is reflected.
You can download the files if you require a copy and do not require version tracking.
OPC includes functionality to create file fields as well as file codes. Use these to your advantage to help streamline the management of your files.
Applying a template applies all folders and files to the selected folder from the template, saving time and ensuring consistency when the same folder structures and files are used on multiple projects.
