Baselining effectively by phase and stage and updating the baseline as-needed will be covered. Learning how to develop your tasks to capture resource, cost and schedule information so that detailed reporting can take place. Reporting the results of progressing a schedule can be done in various ways with various tools; these are explored and examples shown. Tools such as earned value indices, variances and productivity thresholds are examined through examples. The course identifies the data that you need to report to get an accurate picture of your project’s status, performance and likely status at completion. Then it looks at the input necessary to achieve this. Finally it teaches how to read between the lines in these reports to identify common weaknesses that are being revealed. The course DOES teach hands on use of the tools.
